The idea of SIRATNA initiative

Our Story Initiative (Nature’s Spots and Stories of Joy): is an initiative concerned with getting to know people by walking, sitting with them, and exchanging stories.

This listening includes various stories that express the diversity of cultures and influences that reflect the culture and history of peoples who have lived in Jordan along the King's Road since ancient times until now, through our visits to antiquities extending from the Roman, Byzantine, Nabataean and other eras.

Listening to people’s stories now after all these years, filming the stories of simple people and conveying them to the world, focusing on stories of hope and joy to bring about an important positive psychological change in the narrator and the listener, and changing the mindset towards stories told with sadness and distress, and transforming them into stories told with peace, security and joy. In the stories, there is a moment of contemplation that builds a connection between human relations, cultural pluralism and diversity, and enhances seasons of joy and giving.

Why is it called SIRATNA initiative?

SIRATNA

It comes from the idea of roads and paths and also from writing autobiographies, which are stories written from the past and used in the present and future to guide people and enable them to gain and develop knowledge as they move forward in their lives.

The story of our logo

The logo reflects the colors of the Jordanian flag.

There is a person walking to form the letter S in English, entering from the past and reflecting his image on the present, which is the red gate that transports us to the world, and carrying a light from the fabric of the Jordanian shemagh to spread it through the future from the other side, and here is an indication of the fabric of stories and tales.

Our biography was written in Arabic and English as a path for all those who will pass through Jordan and leave an impact.
