SIRATNA
The idea of SIRATNA initiative
Our Story Initiative (Nature’s Spots and Stories of Joy): is an initiative concerned with getting to know people by walking, sitting with them, and exchanging stories.
This listening includes various stories that express the diversity of cultures and influences that reflect the culture and history of peoples who have lived in Jordan along the King's Road since ancient times until now, through our visits to antiquities extending from the Roman, Byzantine, Nabataean and other eras.
Listening to people’s stories now after all these years, filming the stories of simple people and conveying them to the world, focusing on stories of hope and joy to bring about an important positive psychological change in the narrator and the listener, and changing the mindset towards stories told with sadness and distress, and transforming them into stories told with peace, security and joy. In the stories, there is a moment of contemplation that builds a connection between human relations, cultural pluralism and diversity, and enhances seasons of joy and giving.
Why is it called SIRATNA initiative?
SIRATNA
It comes from the idea of roads and paths and also from writing autobiographies, which are stories written from the past and used in the present and future to guide people and enable them to gain and develop knowledge as they move forward in their lives.
The story of our logo
The logo reflects the colors of the Jordanian flag.
There is a person walking to form the letter S in English, entering from the past and reflecting his image on the present, which is the red gate that transports us to the world, and carrying a light from the fabric of the Jordanian shemagh to spread it through the future from the other side, and here is an indication of the fabric of stories and tales.
Our biography was written in Arabic and English as a path for all those who will pass through Jordan and leave an impact.
The goal of SIRATNA initiative
This track aims to provide an enjoyable cultural and recreational opportunity and dialogue sessions from the stories of the people of the track through a session with a cup of tea and Arabic coffee, presented to the local audience in Jordan during the summer season. This track also aims to enhance understanding and cultural communication by listening to people’s stories and filming them in a modern and innovative way, and providing a platform via social media to display them.
Summer is associated with joy and today in the Middle East it is closely linked to identity, heritage, belonging to the land, and gratitude to the sky.
This trail aims to take 8 people on a journey from Madaba to Petra and Aqaba along the King's Road that faces Palestine, which is one of the oldest routes for traders millions of years ago, and to see, listen and experience it with an audience of different ages and cultures; to enjoy their stories and narrations, and understand their distinctive impact throughout human history, and create a comprehensive space to celebrate the beauty of difference and diversity, with the participation of people from different classes and strata of society, and encourage the presence of people with disabilities, so that this event is an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of preserving heritage through narration and stories, and create a new space for the arts as a shared identity that reflects new experiences and expertise.
The goal to be achieved in terms of engaging the target audience at the local community level includes several important aspects, including:
Promoting social integration
Promoting cultural understanding
Promote understanding of local heritage
Engaging audiences in local arts, culture, storytelling and narratives
In short, the goal of engaging the target audience is to create an enjoyable and educational storytelling experience that enhances cultural understanding, supports communication and interaction between members of the local community, encourages social integration, supports local products, and tells the story of Jordanian joy around a cup of tea and a cup of coffee and the message of peace laden with seasons of goodness and giving.

In addition, spreading awareness of the environment, narrative arts and heritage is one of the most prominent types of social responsibility, which extends to national and global responsibility.

It provides equal opportunities for women and men to participate and attend, especially since the path moves between cities, countryside, desert and sea in a tour of Jordanian cities that reflects the spirit of cooperation and joint work between the sexes, and highlights the effective role of women in the agriculture and tourism sectors, heritage preservation and the dissemination of culture.
Environmental Sustainability
This track comes as a tributary to this sustainability through the use of environmentally friendly materials and equipment that reflect the environmental heritage and national identity, and includes meals from the people of the region (tomato frying pan, zarb, tea cup and coffee cup), awareness content directed to the public to enhance their awareness of environmental issues and climate change, people’s stories across different seasons and stories of ancestors.
Environmental Sustainability
Celebrating the local stories of the people of the region and the special path along the King's Road is a driving call for development in cultural diversity that simulates thought, emotion and spirit. This will give the world an opportunity to see stories and invite them to accept the other, and work together within a framework of respect for pluralism based on dialogue and the values of love and peace, in addition to a realistic simulation of real stories that they lived full of challenges that turned into experiences, joy, freedom of expression, choice, participation and openness to the other. It also lies in influencing the work team seeking to develop and innovate the quality of films and images that will be presented to the world, and also dealing with any problems and stumbling blocks that may be encountered during training and organization with flexibility and creativity, in an effort to achieve the main goal of participation.
